The Environmental Impact Assessment is designed for those companies that currently have a videoconferencing service in place, but wish to increase the impact their videoconferencing service can have on their enterprise environmental responsibility initiatives.
The service is targeted toward the C-level business or IT executive who wishes to leverage the organization’s investments in collaboration technology into a powerful tool for helping the company achieve its goals of reducing GHG emissions. The assessment utilizes a structured evaluation methodology, which explores the company’s environmental objectives, current status against those objectives and the potential impact that videoconferencing can have in the overall plan. Specific opportunities to decrease GHG emissions through more intense or more effective use of videoconferencing are identified.
The service deliverable is a detailed presentation of findings and recommendations. Recommendations are presented as a set of Key Initiatives. Each initiative is described in terms of an objective, the recommended technological, organizational and procedural changes that should be made, and the projected impact. Recommendations often include strategic initiatives, as well as suggestions for improvements in basic operational approaches that can yield substantial results.
